Choosing hardware for a new computer are not as easy as one would think, there are a huge amount of options and everything have its pro`s and con`s.
The first thing you have to figure out is what you want to use your computer for, do you want to only game? or video editing or checking mail? its an important first step in the right direction. in my chase i want one powerful gaming rig that i also can use as a media station.

I will use a fully customised water cooling set up for my pc, i have never had anything to do with water cooling from before so it was tough to know what to go for and what you would need and should stay away from, one of the sites i have used frequently is Overclock.net its one of the largest computer sites for every thing that have to do with computers in any form or shape, the community are absolutely huge  and very friendly you can get all the help you need there.
other sites that are worth visiting if you are into computers are
xtremesystems.org one site dedicated to the extreme computer check out the build logs there if you are passing by
hwbot.org have you ever been into benchmarking? or any type of computer challenges? hwbot is the site to go for any type of world overclocking or benchmarking world rankings also have a great community
bit-tech.net the largest UK site for hardware reviews or whatnot they are one of the leading sites when it comes to computer moding with monthly awards and one of the most friendly and helpful community out there i will definitely recommend bit-tech
lifehacker.com a large site dedicated to computer tweaking and what not, a lot of useful info on this site
and you have Youtube of course if you cant find an unboxing or review there  its strange
