Mountain Phoenix

A phoenix is a mythical bird that is a fire spirit with a colourful plumage and a tail of gold and scarlet (or purple, blue, and green according to some legends). It has a 500 to 1000 year life-cycle, near the end of which it builds itself a nest of twigs that then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix or phoenix egg arises, reborn anew to live again. The new phoenix is destined to live as long as its old self. In some stories, the new phoenix embalms the ashes of its old self in an egg made of myrrh and deposits it in the Egyptian city of Heliopolis (literally "sun-city" in Greek). It is said that the bird's cry is that of a beautiful song. The Phoenix's ability to be reborn from its own ashes implies that it is immortal, though in some stories the new Phoenix is merely the offspring of the older one. In very few stories they are able to change into people.

After close to 4month`s of planning i can proudly say that i am ready to start my first build log of my Project that i call Mountain Phoenix the reason of that name you ask? Well I have become more aware of colour`s and purple have become one of the colours that have caught my eye and since the build have become a high end build with fully integrated water cooling Dragon sounds like a reflection of the hardware.
Been into computers for almost 8 years and really love it since I have a lot of spare time the computer is a trust worthy mate to have not sure I would still be alive if it wouldn’t have been for my pc so I figured that my old dell I getting to slow and weak for the newer games its almost 8years by now so need something new, did start a few weeks before summer vacation with research since I first was after ready build system I could just start op but after checking almost every large company out there I found out that the tax in Norway is ridiculous 25% tax on everything that is brought into the country that’s with shipping fees and some gods even have an extra 13% on top of that so I realized it was to expensive to buy and ship so I decided so build on one my own.
The Project as a whole have grown in time, but at the same time been incredible fun to research each part and changing the set up over time from the first idea that hit me in late July, To a finished project with everything set up in the different shops,
Its currently a large list of parts that have come and gone the past few months, Its currently spread over 7 Internet shops, all the way from the United States back to the locally placed ones
After almost 4month`s of research and scrapping my original plans a few times (It`s incredible how indecisive I can be sometimes) I came up with the purple dragon and chose purple as my theme, but its ridiculously hard to find gadgets to match the theme its been only slewing and case light`s I have been able to dig up so will do my best to make a clean build, its my first time building a computer also so hope it will be a positive experience
During the past November-December it have become clear that I need a home server also, been so much fun finding hardware for it and read up and learn what I did not know from before.
Brace yourself here comes the Hardware as it stands now 24.12.2010
